Meedo Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

1. Who we are

"We" means the developer of Meedo. There is no advertising. We store only your Meedo account details and what is needed to check a Pro subscription and count your daily uses.

2. What the app handles

None of it is used for advertising, and we build no profile of you.

3. Where your records live

In the app on your iPhone. iCloud sync is on by default, so a copy is also kept in your iCloud under your Apple ID: Apple encrypts it, only your own devices can read it, and we never receive it.

Two Apple accounts on one iPhone keep separate records.

Your body details are a setting and stay on this iPhone; they are never synced. We have no database of what you ate.

4. When your phone talks to our server

5. Services we rely on

6. Signing in, and what your account holds

Signing in is optional. Everything works without an account except recognition, barcode lookup and Meedo Pro.

When you sign in with Apple we receive an identifier for your Apple account, the email address Apple shares (a private relay address, if you chose one) and the name you let Apple share. The account also counts how many recognitions you have used today, so the daily allowance can be applied.

Nothing about your meals, your weight or your body is part of it. You can sign out whenever you like.

7. Apple Health

8. Your permissions and your control

9. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. How long we keep things

11. Your rights

Your records live on your device, so you can view, correct, export and delete them there. The account data we hold is listed in §6, and you can close the account in Settings. We never sell your data and never share it for advertising.

Where GDPR or a similar law applies: reading Health and syncing to iCloud rest on your consent; the account and the purchase record are what we need to give you the app. You can ask us through Settings → Send feedback for access, correction, erasure or a copy of your data, and you can complain to your supervisory authority.

12. Security

Your connection to our server is encrypted, and the copy of your records in iCloud can be read only by your own devices.

The app contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services. The home-screen widget shows only the day's totals.

13. Changes

A new version of this policy is published on this page with a new date. Material changes are described here, and in what's new for the app update that brings them.

14. Contact

Settings → Send feedback in the app, or email [email protected].
